I remember the migraines like it was yesterday. It was years and years before I would eat certain things again. Beetroot, blackberries and apple combined and jacket potatoes. It was the smell. The school dinner smell of those three things especially. I have a picture perfect memory of being sick in the outdoor girls toilets of North Leeds Primary school.<\/p>\n
I used to be so violently ill that very often the doctor would have to be called out to our home to inject me with a pain killer and something to stop me vomiting continuously. Yet teachers seemed to think I was crying wolf and making it up.<\/p>\n
The irony was I loved that school. One year I was voted May Queen and the following year so was sis. That’s her in the photo. We did maypole dancing and other pagan practices.<\/p>\n
