The things I remember

A Quiet Riot With Words & Art

Labour retardation party

HonestInk,

Well yesterday was a fun day. A labour budget. A budget of theft, strangulation and massive deterrent of ambition and the will to prosper. An end to any last strands of hope the country had. The people with money will leave now for somewhere that doesn’t tax them to the hilt just for having a brain. Rinsing the people that create businesses and jobs. The very people that keep the economy going. Is it some sort of jealousy? Or is it part of the plan to get everyone on benefits? Some control thing? The great socialist ideal ?

I’m seething. I want to cause harm to these people that control the rest of us whilst earning massive wages and living charmed lives. That have quite simply and obviously paid their electorate to vote for them again to keep them in the money and the lifestyle they enjoy the most.

Meanwhile everything seems to be regressing. Two days ago it was The International Day for the Elimination Of Violence against women. I remember the 1977 Reclaim The Night marches in local cities during the violent times of the Yorkshire ripper. It’s nearly 50 years on and women are less safe now than they were then. And we still aren’t allowed to protect ourselves. Legally anyway.

Kids. You try to give them the best life and the best of you. The more you have the more this is diluted. Things have changed though. The council houses aren’t there anymore. It’s renting shitty damp places with all your kids. A bit more money from the state will have the landlords wanking over the peeling paint at the new rent raises they can now introduce.

Meanwhile in the pakistani communities where three generations live in one house they can move up in the world. Have a few more children, throw in a disabled one every third child for the extra benefits and you’re fucking rolling in it. They know who they are voting for next time and who can blame them.

I’ve a feeling there will be some karma coming but it won’t be enough. It will never be enough for the damage this parliament has done.
