This morning I’d just booted my pc and sat down with my first coffee of the day when I heard the clatter of metal on metal. Ladder on scaffolding my brain said and sure enough there was a knock on the door and big, burly baldy politely told me they were finally here to ….insert roofing jargon…the roof. Grand I said would you like a cup of tea? He thanked me but declined so I said I’d ask again in a bit. It was just after 8am.
Only there was no in a bit because I never saw him again. The ladder was there though for most of the day but it’s gone now. I occasionally wonder why men wind me up. It only lasts about a millisecond.
