I reached a milestone this past weekend. The big 60’th birthday. I’ve entered the ‘elderly’ stage of life. It’s finally here. And it’s ok.
I spent the weekend with my family and best friends: my beautiful, kind daughter and my precious, stinky little dogs. We gorged on unhealthy but delicious food. I drank plenty of wine but Anna was there with Alka selzter and black coffee in the morning. We walked the dogs, we talked about life. We sometimes cried a little and we hugged a lot.
Very precious times and memories are made like this. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Anyway 60 is the new 40 apparently. Good grief I hope not! I wouldn’t go back there for love nor money.
I’m embracing the third stage of life with open arms. I have all that I need now.
