A Quiet Riot With Words & Art

Long Live The King

HonestInk,

I loved watching the King’s coronation. it gave me tingles and on and off I cried a little.

It’s the history. That’s what gets me. A throne from the 1400. Some words first uttered in 940AD. The emblem on top of the golden carriage made of timber from Nelson’s ship. Forces representatives from 39 nations. We are a little tiny island and we achieved so much. I’m proud of our past.

Forcing religion on people has always been favoured by most patriarchal dick swinging countries. All over the world they are killing the fuck out of each other for one dick swinging reason or another. And that’s right now as I write this, not a century or several ago.

The most gratifying part for me though was the very predominant Church of England ethos but that yes we are a country that accepts all faiths.

This is the UK. We are tiny and we welcome the world in but our history is precious whoever it may upset. Nothing will change that.
